(01/09/2021) A charity event was organized on Friday, November 19, 2021 by the Public Relations Division of Himedition Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Unsoed together with other divisions within Himedition. The event was held at Panti Asuhan Roudlotul Jannah, Patikraja, Purwokerto. What made this charity event particularly interesting was that during this period, we from Himedition not only contributed funds but also carried out several engaging activities at the orphanage, such as teaching sessions and prize-winning games.
This initiative began with preparing all necessary materials. Starting with conducting meetings every week through Google Meet, held once a week. These meetings were held to discuss the progress of each related division. After that, we also conducted fundraising through social media and online platforms by distributing posters. We then used many e-wallet services to collect the funds, including DANA, GoPay, OVO, and also through bank accounts listed in the posters. After preparing everything needed, the event was finally able to commence.
The theme of this charity was “Nurture Unity Achieve Care.” With the tagline “We Care We Share.” As mentioned previously, this period’s charity also organized many engaging activities at the orphanage. One of them was a teaching activity carried out by the teaching division consisting of Sarah, Ika, Sekar, Yuda, and Vales. Each was divided into 2 groups. Sarah, Ika, and Sekar taught elementary school children, while Yuda and Vales taught junior and senior high school students. (YSP)
