Purwokerto – Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (FIB Unsoed) officially signed cooperation documents in the form of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) and Implementation Agreement (IA) with KB Usnia Cilacap on Monday, January 12, 2026. This activity represents a strategic step in strengthening synergy between the university and early childhood education institutions to support the implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education).
The signing ceremony took place in a warm, friendly, and enjoyable atmosphere. The event was attended by the Dean of FIB Unsoed, Vice Dean for Cooperation of FIB Unsoed, Head of the Department of English Language and Literature, Coordinator of the Sastra Inggris Study Programme, the Domestic Cooperation Team of FIB, and the Sastra Inggris Study Programme Cooperation Team. The presence of the leadership and cooperation teams demonstrates FIB Unsoed’s commitment to overseeing the sustainable implementation of this collaboration.
In his remarks, the Dean of FIB Unsoed stated that this cooperation holds strategic value for strengthening the faculty’s role in education and community service. “Through the signing of this PKS and IA, FIB Unsoed is committed to delivering real and impactful cooperation implementations, particularly through student internship activities and community service that directly address the partner’s needs,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the KB Usnia Cilacap Foundation welcomed the establishment of this cooperation. “We greatly appreciate the cooperation with FIB Unsoed. The presence of students and lecturers in the early childhood education environment is expected to bring a new dynamic to the learning process,” he expressed.
The event’s atmosphere became even livelier with a performance by students from the Sastra Inggris Study Programme at FIB Unsoed, who invited the students of KB Usnia Cilacap to sing along. The students performed two Indonesian-language songs from the movie Jumbo, a popular animated film widely watched and loved by children. These songs were selected for their simple, cheerful lyrics that are easy for children to follow, enabling them to participate actively in the activity. Accompanied by simple movements and an enthusiastic atmosphere, the young students appeared eager to follow every verse sung. The activity proceeded with great joy, fostering a warm and educational interaction.
Through the signing of this PKS and IA, FIB Unsoed and KB Usnia Cilacap agreed to implement cooperation through student internship activities and Community Service programs. FIB Unsoed students will be directly involved in assisting learning activities, while lecturers will actively participate through community service programs that support the enhancement of learning quality.
