Purwokerto – The Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang Study Programme, Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (FIB Unsoed) held a routine meeting on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. The meeting took place in the study programme’s meeting room and was attended by all permanent lecturers, including the Study Programme Coordinator Dr. Haryono, S.S., M.Pd., as well as several other lecturers such as Dian Bayu Firmansyah, S.Pd., M.Pd., Eko Kurniawan, S.Pd., M.Pd., and others.
The meeting commenced at 09.00 WIB and was officially opened by the Study Programme Coordinator, Dr. Haryono. In his remarks, he conveyed the importance of collaboration and synergy among lecturers to improve academic quality and develop the study programme. “This meeting is an important moment to unite our vision for the future, especially in welcoming the new academic year,” he said.
The first agenda discussed was the plan for school visits in the Cilacap and Yogyakarta regions. These visits aim to promote the study programme and initiate cooperation in the field of Japanese language education. “We want to expand our partnership network with potential schools, especially those with an interest in Japanese language learning,” said Dian Bayu Firmansyah, S.Pd., M.Pd., one of the lecturers who helped draft the plan.
The second agenda discussed plans to invite practitioner lecturers from both the industrial and educational sectors. This plan aims to provide practical insights to students and bridge the gap between the academic world and the workforce. “Students need to get a real picture of the professional world. The presence of practitioner lecturers is crucial in supporting this,” said Eko Kurniawan, S.Pd., M.Pd.
Furthermore, the meeting also highlighted lecture preparations for the 2025/2026 academic year. Technical matters such as course distribution, lecturer assignments, and curriculum evaluation plans were also discussed in depth. “We want to ensure that lectures run smoothly and with high quality from the very beginning of the semester,” said Yudi Suryadi, S.Pd., M.Pd., while presenting the academic team’s report.
The meeting concluded at 12.30 WIB with an agreement to immediately follow up on each agenda item discussed. Dr. Haryono closed the meeting with the hope that all plans could be well implemented. “Hopefully, our cooperation today will bring a positive impact on the development of the study programme and the progress of our students,” he concluded.
