Semarang, May 24, 2025- Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (FIB Unsoed) once again demonstrated its presence in the prestigious Central Java Language Ambassador 2025 competition. A total of 14 FIB students successfully advanced to the semifinal round held on May 24, 2025 at Balai Bahasa Jawa Tengah, Ungaran, Semarang. Central Java Language Ambassador is an event aimed at identifying and nurturing young people who have passion and care for Indonesian language and literature. The activity is organized by the Central Java Provincial Language Center. The selected Language Ambassador is expected to serve as a catalyst for literacy and an Indonesian language promoter at the local and national levels.
The fourteen students come from various Study Programmes, namely Violinada Azhar Putri Enarga (S1 Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris), Khoerun Nisa (S1 Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia), Arifah Naela Azzahra and Lintang Fitriana (S1 Sastra Indonesia), Muhammad Mayzal Darvesh Mandiri and Miqda Al Auza’i Ashfahany Asyida’ (S1 Sastra Inggris), Afzhar Fitoro and Siti Fatonah (S1 Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang), Rara Nailah Prasanti, Naura Clarissa, and Ivana Azaria Prayitno (D3 Bahasa Inggris), Salwa Naila Maharani (S1 Sastra Jepang), Anggita Permatasari (D3 Bahasa Mandarin), and Giska Melinda Putri (S1 Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia).

In the semifinal round of Central Java Language Ambassador, participants underwent two main types of selection: interview testing and essay writing testing. The event ran intensively from 07:00 to 20:00 WIB and was attended by 117 participants from various universities in Central Java. Of that number, only 20 best participants will advance to the final, consisting of 10 male and 10 female contestants.
The judging results announced that one representative from FIB Unsoed successfully reached the final round, namely Khoerun Nisa from the S1 Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Study Programme. This achievement is certainly a source of pride not only for Khoerun Nisa personally, but also for the entire FIB academic community.

Next, the selected finalist will undergo a series of preparation training to ready herself for the final. The training activities will be conducted in two stages: online training on May 28–29, 2025 and offline training on June 1–2, 2025. The Central Java Language Ambassador 2025 Final is scheduled to take place in mid-June.
This achievement is evidence of the active contribution of FIB students in advancing Indonesian language and literature, while strengthening the role of young people in preserving regional languages. Congratulations to Khoerun Nisa! May you succeed in bringing honor to FIB Unsoed on the final stage in June.
