Purwokerto, 31/01/2025 – The S1 Sastra Inggris Study Programme of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (FIB Unsoed) held a socialization session regarding the completion of Kartu Rencana Studi (Study Plan Card/KRS) and the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (Independent Learning Campus Freedom/MBKM) Independent Internship program for the even semester of 2024/2025. This activity aims to provide guidance to students so they can participate in the MBKM program smoothly.
During this socialization, it was conveyed that the KRS completion period runs from January 29 to February 9, 2025, while lectures will be held from February 17 to June 20, 2025. Students participating in the MBKM Independent Internship can carry out their internship program for 4 to 6 months, adjusted according to the internship partner’s needs. The course conversion recognized in this program is 17 SKS, in accordance with the distribution listed on the official FIB Unsoed website.
The Coordinator of the S1 Sastra Inggris Study Programme, Dyah Raina Purwaningsih, S.S., M.Hum., explained that students participating in MBKM are required to register, fill out a daily logbook, and upload their final report through the www.mbkm.akademik.unsoed.ac.id page. This final report must be prepared based on the provided template. Throughout the program, students will receive guidance from a Dosen Pembimbing Lapangan (Field Supervising Lecturer/DPL) appointed by the study programme.
There are several internship partners that provide opportunities for students, whether online, offline, or hybrid. Several publishers that have collaborated with FIB Unsoed in this program include Bening Pustaka and Brilliant Books. Additionally, students can also register for internships through Ikatan Penerbit Indonesia (Indonesian Publishers Association/IKAPI) DIY, provided they attach a recommendation letter from the study programme, CV, portfolio, and motivation letter.
This socialization was attended by all students from the 2022 cohort and Academic Advisor Lecturers who will guide the KRS MBKM completion process. The socialization also included a simulation of KRS MBKM completion by students and academic advisor lecturers. Through this socialization, students are expected to understand the registration process and implementation of the MBKM Independent Internship program, so they can take advantage of this program as an opportunity to enhance their experience and skills in the workplace.
