The Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang study programme of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman held its beginning of year meeting for 2025. The meeting was led by the coordinator of Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang study programme, Dr. Haryono, M.Pd. The meeting was held in the meeting room of the PBJ study programme in the dean’s building and was attended by all faculty members of the Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang study programme, consisting of: Ulul Huda, S.Pd.I., M.Si, Eko Kurniawan, S.Pd., M.Pd., Anggita Stovia, S.Pd., M.Pd., Dian Bayu Firmansyah, S.Pd., M.Pd., Yudi Suryadi, S.Pd., M.Pd., and Exwan Andriyan Verrysaputro, S.Pd., M.Pd.
This inaugural meeting was held on Monday, January 6, 2025. The meeting was conducted to plan the work programs that would be implemented by the Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang study programme in 2025. In addition to planning work programs for 2025, discussions were also held regarding evaluations of program implementations in 2024.
The meeting began with opening remarks and an introduction from the programme coordinator, followed by reports from each team in 2024. The first report was presented by the Journal Team, presented by the team chair Exwan Andriyan Verrysaputro, S.Pd., M.Pd. Exwan reported that the Jolesal Journal published its first edition on December 31, 2024. The journal in this period has published 5 articles that were received from outside Universitas Jenderal Soedirman.
The next team report was presented by the quality control team chair, Yudi Suryadi, S.Pd., M.Pd. Yudi reported on the evaluation of activities carried out by all teams in the Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang study programme. According to him, it was necessary to review the assignment letters that had been issued by Fakultas Ilmu Budaya. Therefore, at this meeting, a reorganization of assignments was carried out. The hope is that all personnel from PBJ receive an equal proportion.
The next team report was presented by Dian Bayu Firmansyah, S.Pd., M.Pd. Dian reported that during this past year, collaborative agreements and implementation of cooperation have been carried out at both national and international levels. In 2024, a visiting lecturer class was held with Wagomu Japanese Class. The hope for 2025 is that visiting lecturer classes will be held again in line with the core competencies of the Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang study programme.
Following the report from the cooperation team, the report from the HIMA PBJ advisor team was presented by Anggita Stovia, S.Pd., M.Pd. Anggita reported that HIMA PBJ has been established and has created organizational bylaws. HIMA PBJ in 2025 has successfully implemented its first work program, which was the celebration of the Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang Study Programme’s Anniversary at the end of 2024. In 2025, Anggita hopes that administrative completeness can be improved and implemented well. Thus, the implementation of mentoring will be better and smoother.
The final report was presented by the research group chair, Ulul Huda, S.Pd.I., M.Si. Ulul reported that in 2025 it was necessary to reorganize and map the research fields that exist in the PBJ study programme. In addition, it is also hoped that in 2025, a collection or documentation of faculty works from PBJ will be carried out. This is intended so that when conducting assessments or accreditations, the required documents are well documented.
The meeting concluded with a prayer and shared hopes that in 2025, the Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang study programme can implement its work programs better. The next hope is that PBJ can accompany students in improving their abilities both academically and non-academically. Thus, PBJ can be more trusted and committed in producing quality graduates.
