The Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang study programme (PBJ) has established a cooperation with PT. Orion Harmoni Mandala (OHM) for the implementation of the Overseas Students Internship Program (OSIP), which facilitates internship work practices at companies in Japan. The OSIP program, initiated by the head of PBJ programme cooperation, Dian Bayu Firmansyah, S.Pd., M.Pd., has entered its second year at the Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB). Approximately 40 FIB students have been sent to Japan to undertake internships at various companies in Japan. Through this cooperation, PBJ students will also be able to enjoy internship facilities in Japan, after fulfilling the requirements that need to be met by Japanese immigration authorities.
The OSIP program is projected not to be limited to students with a Japanese language background only, but will also be opened to students from non-Japanese study programmes, after first attending Japanese language classes at PT. OHM.
It is hoped that this program can develop students into graduates who are ready to work and capable of facing challenges in today’s global world.
