Purwokerto – Constructing a new building for student lectures offers many strategic benefits that support the development of higher education institutions and enhance the learning experience. Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB) Universitas Jenderal Soedirman plans to build a new building in the area of Jalan Dr. Soeparno Number 60, Karangwangkal, Purwokerto. The new building is planned to be constructed starting in 2025 in accordance with the budget that has been planned by the Decanate of FIB Unsoed.
Responding to this, Dean, Dr. Ely Triasih Rahayu explained that the construction of the building is expected to be able to facilitate the cutting-edge needs of the Tri Dharma in the future. The Dean added that with the number of students continuing to increase, the new building provides sufficient space to accommodate more students, thus helping the institution meet the educational needs of the community. Additionally, it was noted that a modern and adequate building can ensure better accessibility for all students, including those with special needs.
Vice Dean 1 for Academic Affairs and Planning, Dr. Chusni explained that the new building is expected to serve as a multipurpose space where an auditorium in the new building can be used for seminars, conferences, and student organization activities, thereby enriching the educational experience holistically. The flexibly designed building allows various activities, both academic and non-academic, to be conducted with ease.
