Purwokerto, 28 September 2024 – Seven journal manager lecturers from Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB) Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) have completed a Certification Examination conducted by Borneo Riset Edukasi from 21 to 28 September 2024. This activity aims to improve the quality of academic journal management and strengthen lecturers’ competence in fulfilling their responsibilities as scientific journal managers.
The seven lecturers who participated in the certification examination are: Lely Tri Wijayanti, S.S., M.A. manager of Jurnal Vokasia; Exwan Andriyan Verrysaputro, S.Pd., M.Pd. manager of Jurnal Pamasa; Rizki Utami, S.Pd., M.Li. manager of Jurnal Changlun; Nur Indah Sholikhati, S.Pd., M.Pd. manager of Jurnal Prawara; Mustasyfa Thabib Kariadi, S.Pd., M.Pd. manager of Jurnal Lead; Ririn Kurnia Trisnawati, S.S., M.A., M.Phil. manager of Jurnal J-Lalite; and Muammar Kadafi, S.S., M.A. manager of Jurnal J-Litera.
The Certification Examination undertaken by these lecturers represents a strategic step in developing the professionalism of journal managers, so that the scientific journals at UNSOED can continue to develop and maintain quality that is competitive at both national and international levels. This certification encompasses various important aspects of journal management, ranging from good governance, publication of scientific articles, to the application of ethical principles in publication.
This activity has received positive appreciation from the faculty and is expected to be a strategic step in improving the quality of scientific publications at Unsoed. It is hoped that in the future, these journal manager lecturers can apply the knowledge gained from the certification to further enhance journal management practices and serve as a reference for other journal managers in achieving better standards in scientific publication.
