Purwokerto, August 3-4, 2024 – Keluarga Alumni Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) held its annual event over two days, taking place at Gedung Graha Unsoed. The event was attended by hundreds of alumni from various graduation years and faculties, who came to strengthen the bonds of friendship and participate in various activities organized by the committee. The event began on August 3, 2024 with a “Walk in Trees” activity, a leisurely walking event that invited alumni to enjoy fresh air while strolling through the green areas around campus. This activity aimed not only to promote physical fitness but also to serve as a means of interaction and sharing memories among fellow alumni. A warm and nostalgic atmosphere was evident as alumni recalled their university days.
In the evening, the event continued with Malam Keakraban (Makrab), a gathering filled with warmth and joy. The Makrab provided a moment for alumni to gather, chat, and enjoy entertainment together. Performances from various graduation years added to the festive atmosphere, accompanied by music and games that made the occasion increasingly celebratory.
On the second day, August 4, 2024, the main agenda was the election of the Ketua Keluarga Alumni Unsoed for the 2024-2028 term. This election process was an important moment for all alumni members to determine the new leader who would guide the organization toward a better future. One notable candidate for chairman was the Ketua Alumni Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB), Ade Christanty, who also ran for Ketua Keluarga Alumni Unsoed. With his experience and dedication in developing the alumni network at the faculty level, he was expected to bring positive change and increase alumni contributions in various aspects, both academic and social. The election process ran smoothly and democratically. Alumni cast their votes with great enthusiasm, demonstrating their commitment to the development and progress of this alumni organization. The election results were announced at noon, with the newly elected chairman ready to assume responsibility for the next four-year term. This two-day activity concluded with a closing ceremony marked by a sense of unity and hope for a better future for all Unsoed alumni. The elected chairman delivered a brief speech, calling on all alumni to remain actively engaged and maintain the spirit of togetherness that has been built so far. The Keluarga Alumni Unsoed event not only served as an occasion for nostalgic reminiscence, but also as a momentum to strengthen the bonds of friendship and increase alumni participation in the development and advancement of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman.
