Purwokerto, 25 September 2023- The S1 Sastra Jepang study programme received a visit from Nippon Academy represented by Taemi Kashiwazaki Sensei. During this visit, Kashiwazaki sensei provided a socialization session to students of the S1 Sastra Jepang study programme ranging from 1st semester to 5th semester students.
During the socialization, as a form of cooperation between Nippon Academy and the S1 Sastra Jepang study programme, both parties offered an opportunity for S1 Sastra Jepang students to study and intern in Japan. Students can continue learning Japanese at Nippon Academy while interning for 1 year in Japan. During this study and internship activity, students will be registered as MBKM students with a conversion of 20 credits over 2 semesters. This activity is open to students from the 3rd semester through the 5th semester. In addition to the socialization, students also had the opportunity to ask questions about Japan, Japanese culture, and opportunities to pursue further studies in Japan.
The socialization session ran smoothly and with great enthusiasm from the students. Even 1st semester students did not hesitate to ask questions in Japanese, despite having studied the language for only a few months. 3rd and 5th semester students were equally enthusiastic in their questions and answers. Students expressed interest in participating in the ‘Study while Interning’ programme. Although some students felt they still lacked confidence in their Japanese language abilities, they were enthusiastic about the prospect of studying directly in Japan in the future.
