[fib.unsoed.ac.id/, Thursday 10/11/2022] On Thursday 10/11/2022, the Sastra Inggris Study Programme at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman held a cooperation agreement signing ceremony with the Foreign Language Institute LIA Purwokerto. The activity, held in the meeting room of Building B of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, represents the initiation process of cooperation activities between the two parties. Attending the meeting were the Dean of FIB Unsoed, Dra. Roch Widjatini, MSi.; head of the Cooperation Division at LB LIA Purwokerto, Imam Suswoyo; Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation of FIB, Idah Hamidah, M.Hum.; chair of the FIB Cooperation Team, Muammar Kadafi, M.A., and also the cooperation team from the Sastra Inggris Study Programme at Unsoed.
Through this cooperation agreement, it is hoped that the employment prospects of graduates from the Sastra Inggris Study Programme can be improved, including through employment as teachers at the LIA Purwokerto Language Institute.
In addition, during this activity, one implementation of the cooperation activities was also agreed upon and signed, namely the dispatch of a guest lecturer from LB LIA Purwokerto to serve as a resource person in one of the courses at the Sastra Inggris Study Programme, namely Teaching English as a Foreign Language. The LIA Purwokerto Language Institute, as a partner, sent one of its instructors to serve as a guest lecturer for that course. Through this activity, it is hoped that students taking the course will gain knowledge and sharing of experience from a resource person who has extensive experience teaching at a language institute.
The event continued with a guest lecture from a practitioner from the LIA Language Institute.
