[fib.unsoed.ac.id/, Wednesday 19/10/2022] On Sunday, October 16, 2022, the Japanese Literature Student Association of Unsoed (Hijasu) successfully held the Annual Event Unsoed Japanese Festival (FJU) following the previous week’s successful organization of Educational Competitions including Story Telling, Japanese Language Presentation Competition, Shodou Competition, and Infographics Competition. For this annual event, Hijasu chose the theme “Kako kara no dengon” which means message from the past.
This year’s FJU was different from previous years as the event was held in the area of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Unsoed. The enthusiasm of spectators was so high that it created long queues on Jl. Dr Soeparno in front of the FIB Unsoed campus. More than 3,500 spectators attended the FJU Event.
Many activities were presented during the event held from 08:30 to 22:00, including Tari Tradisional Trio Srinthil, Kenthongan Satria Baskara, Odori Kurabu, One&One Dance, Japanese Karaoke Competition, Costreet Competition, Adlips, Cosplay Competition, SRT48, Wotagei, Mochiramen, Noyushimi Band, and DJ Scififall.
At the peak of the FJU event, guest stars SRT48 and Meutia Amanda were also present. In addition to watching the various activities displayed, spectators were also treated to various stalls selling various Japanese and Korean specialty foods and Japanese souvenirs that could be purchased.
Spectators could also take selfies with cosplay performers in various characters from Japan or take photos wearing Japanese traditional clothing provided by the committee. A Japanese-themed motorcycle community also helped enliven this FJU event.
Congratulations to Hijasu on the successful organization of FJU 2022. Hopefully the FJU event in 2023 will be even more festive and successful.
