Establishment and Presentation of the Vision and Mission of the Dean of FIB for the 2022-2026 Period

Fakultas Ilmu Budaya successfully held an event on Friday (14/10/2022) to establish and present the vision and mission of the Dean of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya for the 2022-2026 period. The event began with a closed senate meeting attended by the Rector of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Prof. Dr. Ir. Akhmad Sodiq, M.Sc.Agr, and all members of the Fakultas Ilmu Budaya senate. During the closed senate meeting, the Dean candidate of FIB, Dr. Ely Triasih Rahayu, S.S., M.Hum, presented the vision and mission that she would pursue if elected as Dean of FIB for the 2022-2026 period. In her presentation of the vision and mission, Ms. Ely put forward the theme “TRANSFORMATION OF FIB TOWARDS A FACULTY WITH ACADEMIC INTEGRITY AND REPUTATION”. The closed senate meeting also included a question and answer session with the Rector and members of the Fakultas Ilmu Budaya senate.
After the closed senate meeting, the event continued with the appointment of the Dean candidate of FIB as Dean of FIB by the Rector of Unsoed. Dr. Ely Triasih Rahayu, S.S., M.Hum was officially appointed by the Rector to serve as Dean of FIB for the 2022-2026 period. After her appointment as Dean, Ms. Ely also presented the vision and mission to the faculty, administrative staff, and students. Several faculty members, students, and administrative staff who attended also asked questions regarding the vision and mission of the Dean of FIB for the 2022-2026 period. “In essence, the vision and mission of the Dean of FIB for the 2022-2026 period is to continue the vision and mission of the current Dean, which is to become an institution of education, research, service, and community engagement in the fields of cultural sciences that is recognized internationally, and is committed to preparing graduates as future leaders of the nation who are excellent and of strong character,” said Ms. Ely. Many best wishes were expressed by the academic community at FIB. Hopefully, these aspirations can be realized in the next Dean’s period for a better FIB.
