(24/02/2022) Purwokerto – Accreditation in general can be understood as a process of assessing qualifications using established standard quality criteria and is open in nature. Every institution providing formal education is required to undergo an accreditation process to obtain a predicate in accordance with the assessment results.
The S1 Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Study Programme at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman / PBING UNSOED will also conduct programme reaccreditation which will be organized by LAM Pendidikan. In preparation for the programme reaccreditation, mentoring was held with Dr. Muhammad Rohmadi, S.S., M.Hum. He conveyed that the most important thing in preparing for programme reaccreditation is to form a super team that focuses on preparing all reaccreditation requirements.
Dr. Rohmadi explained that in order to form a super team, at least three basic things are needed. The first is to choose the right team leader. A leader who possesses good leadership will be able to lead by setting a good example for their members. A figure who does not prioritize authority, but strives to build trust through transparency. If team members already trust the leader and their judgment, then they will be able to work well even without supervision. This will then have an impact on improving team work efficiency.
The second factor that determines the success of a super team is placing the right people, in the right place, at the right time. This requires an understanding of the characteristics of each member. By establishing good relationships with members, the leader can understand the personality of each member so that they can place each member in a position with duties and responsibilities that match the competencies they possess. Furthermore, understanding team members can also help strengthen interpersonal relationships among team members and avoid conflicts that could potentially hinder team work.
The last factor that determines the success of a super team is appreciation for the work of all team members. Giving appreciation for team and individual achievements can trigger enthusiasm to work even better and foster a sense of being valued among team members.
Therefore, one of the important factors determining the success of the Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris programme reaccreditation is the existence of a solid super team. With a competent super team capable of working well together, the Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris programme at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman can make the best effort to obtain maximum reaccreditation assessment results.
