On Saturday, November 20, 2021, starting at 08:15, the Student Association E-Ploration of the D3 Bahasa Inggris study programme held a Profile Seminar attended by all third-semester D3 Bahasa Inggris students. This event was a program of work by the Student Resource Department, E-Ploration 2021, which aimed to provide an overview of the specialization options (translation and tourism) to third-semester D3 Bahasa Inggris students who would be selecting their specialization in the fourth semester. As in 2020, the Profile Seminar was conducted online through the Zoom Meeting application. This year’s Profile Seminar carried the theme “Choose your way to fly away (We fly better get our future)”. The Profile Seminar committee consisted of D3 Bahasa Inggris students from the 2019 and 2021 cohorts.
The speakers for the Profile Seminar were two lecturers from the D3 Inggris study programme, namely Indah Puspitasari, S.S., M.Hum., and Indriyati Hadiningrum, S.S., M.Pd., and two (2) D3 Bahasa Inggris alumni, namely Rini Pamuji, A.Md. and Rizki Putri Sari, A.Md. The four (4) speakers were divided into 2 specializations, with Indah Puspitasari, S.S., M.Hum. and Rizki Putri Sari, A.Md. (as speakers in the Tourism field), and Indriyati Hadiningrum, S.S., M.Pd. and Rini Pamuji, A.Md. (as speakers in the Translation field). In addition to discussing the materials that would be studied in each specialization, the speakers also shared their experiences when working in their chosen specialization.
With the Profile Seminar 2021 event, it is hoped that in the fourth semester, all third-semester D3 Bahasa Inggris students will be able to choose their desired specialization to guide their future career paths.
