Monday, 26 May 2025, to support the implementation of the tridharma of higher education (the three pillars of higher education), the Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang (PBJ) study programme initiated a cooperation with Saitama Japanese School Japan. This cooperation initiation process was carried out online via a zoom meeting between the PBJ side, represented by Dian Bayu Firmansyah, S.Pd., M.Pd. as the head of the PBJ study programme’s cooperation team, and the partner side, represented directly by the president director of Saitama Japanese School Japan, Taka Masakatsu.
In this cooperation initiation, several cooperation schemes to be implemented were discussed, including cooperation for the implementation of students exchange, lecturers exchange, and students internship. Bayu sensei said: “As a newly established study programme, it is very important for PBJ to continue increasing the number of collaborations with partners, in order to improve the quality of tridharma activities as well as the study programme’s branding. It is very important for PBJ to establish cooperation with partners who share the same core in the field of education,” he said.
This cooperation initiation is one of the strategic cooperation opportunities carried out by PBJ with a partner from Japan that has a good track record in the field of Japanese language education and teaching. As stated by the partner side, “Saitama Japanese School highly respects the PBJ study programme and Unsoed for their history of cooperation with Japanese partners so far, and shares the same sharing values to advance the world of Japanese language education in Indonesia,” said Taka sensei.
From this initiation, it is known that both parties have the same vision and mission, and have agreed to continue the cooperation process, which will be set out in a cooperation document. Currently, the process of drafting the cooperation document has begun, and it will be finalised in June 2025.
