On Friday, 21 February 2025, Dian Bayu Firmansyah, S.Pd., M.Pd., and Yudi Suryadi, S.Pd., M.Pd., attended an evaluation and monitoring meeting for the Overseas Students Internship Program (OSIP) at Arima Royal Golf Club (ARGC), Kobe, Japan. During the event, Bayu sensei, as head of cooperation for the PBJ study programme and initiator and coordinator of the OSIP program at FIB, expressed his gratitude for the ongoing partnership and for accepting FIB students to take part in the internship program at ARGC. “The first batch of OSIP participants who departed for Japan numbered 14 people, and two of them undertook their internship activities at ARGC, Kobe,” said Bayu sensei.

Furthermore, in the official meeting attended by all partner stakeholders involved in the OSIP activity, Bayu sensei also conveyed to the partners the need for an expansion so that future internship participants would not only come from the Japanese language study programme, but would also be open to students from other study programmes beyond the Japanese language study programme at FIB Unsoed. The response was positive, as reflected by Takeo Nishimura, Chief Officer of Golf Support at ARGC, “We very much welcome this idea, and will fully support making it happen, because currently the number of internship participants needed throughout Japan is 500 people, and at present only 200 have been filled,” he said. This is a very promising opportunity that needs to be responded to well and promptly by FIB.

At the meeting, which was also attended by Nisa Roiyasa, S.Pd., M.TESOL., as a member of the Foreign Cooperation Team (KLN) of FIB Unsoed who also played a major role in establishing the OSIP program cooperation at FIB, the three-member FIB delegation also had the opportunity to conduct interviews with internship students from Unsoed. The participants gave very positive feedback on their participation in the OSIP program, as they gained a great deal of valuable experience and knowledge. The participants also expressed their gratitude to Bayu sensei, who had accompanied and guided them for a full year during their internship period at ARGC, Kobe, from beginning to end.
It is hoped that from this highly beneficial meeting, a closer partnership will be established in the future that will bring broad benefits to all Unsoed students, as well as to the partner organisations.
