Purwokerto – The Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris study programme of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman highlighted the importance of utilizing technology for students in the digital era in an online seminar held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 09:00 WIB. Carrying the theme “Analyzing Data with Coding Schemas via Atlas.ti“, this Expert Lecture featured the Head of the Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Study Programme at Universitas Esa Unggul, Jakarta, Dr. Imam Santoso, M.Pd. The event, moderated by one of the Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Unsoed students, Ita Rahmanita, was attended by hundreds of participants, especially students from the study programme. The Head of the Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Unsoed Study Programme, Slamet Riyadi, S.S., M.Pd., in his opening remarks expressed his appreciation and hope that this activity could enhance students’ knowledge and support them in preparing for graduation, particularly regarding thesis writing and preparation.
A song analogy as an introduction to the material opened the discussion which lasted for about two hours. The enthusiasm of the students was clearly visible from the many questions asked even before entering the Q&A session. Guided by the speaker, students participating in the online meeting practiced using Atlas.ti directly in accordance with the focus of the theme. The speaker emphasized that consistency and Atlas.ti are keys that make it easier for students to support the completion of their final thesis. In closing, the speaker advised the students to utilize technology, such as Atlas.ti, to help overcome difficulties.
