Purwokerto - The Faculty of Humanities at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman held a socialization event and mentoring workshop aimed at enhancing research activities for FIB Unsoed lecturers and preparing for the submission of grant proposals to the Directorate of Research, Technology, and Community Service for the year 2024. The event took place on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 5-6, 2024, at Bambang Lelono Hall of The Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman and was attended by Faculty of Humanities lecturers and faculty leaders.
In order to enhance the quality of teaching and research among lecturers, this event featured Prof. Dr. Kundharu Saddhono, M.Hum., C.Ed, CISHR, from Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), as the main speaker. Prof. Kundharu is an expert in the field of linguistics who has conducted numerous research projects and has extensive experience in evaluating research proposals.
During the workshop session, Faculty of Humanities lecturers had the opportunity to receive direct feedback from Prof. Kundharu regarding the research proposals they had prepared. The speaker provided comments and constructive suggestions to improve the proposals, aiming to make them stronger and increase their chances of acceptance.
Also present at the event was the Publication Laboratory Team, which contributed to supporting the enhancement of research quality among Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman lecturers. Additionally, the Dean of Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Dr. Ely Triasih Rahayu, S.S., M.Hum., and the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Chusni Hadiati, S.S., M.Hum., provided full support for this activity.
“This event is a concrete step towards enhancing the academic quality of Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman lecturers. With input from experts in their field, it is hoped that research proposals from the lecturers can become more high-quality and relevant to the needs of the times,” said Dr. Ely Triasih Rahayu.
In addition to providing feedback on the proposals, Prof. Kundharu also offered tips and tricks for lecturers on how to craft strong proposals and increase their chances of acceptance. The information and guidance provided by this speaker are expected to serve as valuable assets for lecturers as they strive towards conducting higher-quality research.
DRTPM 2024 workshop is anticipated to have a significant positive impact on the enhancement of teaching and research quality at Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Collaboration between lecturers, faculty leaders, and external speaker like Prof. Kundharu is key to achieving even greater academic achievements in the future.
