Purwokerto, March 24, 2025 — Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB) of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, through its Publication Laboratory Team, held a Research Proposal Development Mentoring activity for DPPM 2025 on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Gedung Bambang Lelono FIB Unsoed. The event was attended by lecturers from various study programmes with the aim of improving the quality of research proposals while maximizing opportunities for DPPM research grant funding.
The event was officially opened by the Dean of FIB, Prof. Dr. Ely Triasih Rahayu, S.S., M.Hum., who in her remarks emphasized the importance of mentoring activities as part of strategic efforts to strengthen research culture within the faculty. “This activity is one concrete step in enhancing the capacity of lecturers to prepare quality, relevant, and impactful research proposals,” she said.
As the main speaker, Prof. Dr. Kundharu Saddhono, S.S., M.Hum., a lecturer and senior researcher with extensive experience in managing national and international research grants, provided comprehensive mentoring materials. He outlined the stages of research planning, strategies for developing a strong background, formulating sharp research questions, appropriate methodologies, and developing research outputs in accordance with DPPM priorities.
Participants were highly enthusiastic in following the material presentation and the interactive question-and-answer session. Many questions were raised regarding techniques for selecting relevant themes aligned with national policy, tips for writing more competitive proposals, and examples of proposals that have received grant funding.
This activity also served as a discussion forum that opened spaces for collaboration among researchers across study programmes at FIB. The hope is that this research proposal mentoring can encourage an increase in the number of proposals that receive funding and have tangible impact on the advancement of knowledge, community service, and the academic reputation of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman at the national level.
The event concluded with a group photo and expressions of appreciation to the speakers and all participants who actively participated.
