Saturday, February 22, 2025, two delegates from the Sastra Jepang programme, namely Dian Bayu Firmansyah, S.Pd., M.Pd., and Yudi Suryadi, S.Pd., M.Pd., appeared as speakers at the Overseas Students Internship Program (OSIP) Forum 2025, held in Osaka, Japan. At this international-scale seminar, Bayu sensei and Yudi sensei disseminated the results of their research before speakers and invited guests from various countries in Asia.

Yoshiro Nabeshima, M.A., as chair of the OSIP Forum organizing committee, stated that “In this 5th OSIP Forum, we invited academics and practitioners in the fields of Sastra Jepang and Sastra Indonesia to enhance cross-cultural understanding between both nations, with the main goal of strengthening significant collaboration that can have broad impact for both countries”. At this OSIP Forum, in addition to featuring speakers from various universities in Indonesia and Japan, practitioners from companies and hospitality practitioners in Japan were also invited to participate actively.
Bayu sensei said, “The OSIP Forum activity is one of the venues for lecturers to conduct activities outside campus, as well as an opportunity to present the results of research that has been carried out. Furthermore, this forum also provides opportunities for lecturers to expand cooperation networks with Japan”, said the Sastra Jepang lecturer who also serves as the head of cooperation for the Sastra Jepang programme. Meanwhile, Yudi sensei, who experienced speaking as a speaker at an international forum for the first time, said that, “This forum provides very tangible international collaboration experience, and of course becomes an opportunity to build confidence, especially for lecturers with limited experience speaking at international forums. Many positive things can be taken from the organization of this forum, with the hope that it can continue to be held in the coming years”.

Beyond the two Sastra Jepang lecturers, FIB Unsoed was also represented by Nisa Roiyasa, S.Pd., M.TESOL., representing the FIB Unsoed international cooperation team. Together with Bayu sensei, Nisa also actively participated as a speaker in this event, as well as contributing to the mission of expanding international collaboration, particularly for students from non-Japanese study programmes. At the end of the seminar activity, a signing of the Implementation Agreement from the OSIP Forum 2025 activity was also held, which took place at Osaka City Central Public Hall, Osaka, Japan.
Hopefully, in the future more FIB lecturers can actively participate in international forums. Sastra Jepang, Banzai!
