Osaka, Saturday, May 25, 2024. Two lecturers representing the Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang study programme (PBJ) served as keynote speakers in the panel discussion session of the OSIP Forum 2024, held at Osaka City Hall, Japan. Speaking in the first panel discussion session, Hary sensei presented research results on the theme of Kanji learning for non-native speakers. Subsequently, Bayu sensei presented research on a contrastive analysis between beliefs and learning strategies among Japanese and Indonesian language learners. This panel discussion session was also attended by lecturers from Japanese language education programmes at UPI, UNNES, UNIKOM, UNJ, as well as Osaka University.
This is quite a significant achievement for the newly established PBJ study programme at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, which was founded at the end of 2023. It is hoped that in the future, the lecturers of the PBJ study programme will continue to consistently participate in international forums like this, and disseminate research results that are beneficial and impactful for the wider community.
