Purwokerto, May 21, 2024 – Pamasa: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat and Vokasia Journal successfully held a workshop themed “Journal Management Towards National Accreditation”. The event, which took place at Aula Bambang Lelono, Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB), Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed), featured Yoris Adita Maretta, M.Pd., from Relawan Jurnal Indonesia as the main speaker.
The workshop was opened with remarks from the Dean of FIB, Dr. Ely Triasih Rahayu, S.S., M.Hum., who emphasized the importance of journal accreditation in improving the quality of scientific publications within the campus environment. “We need to prepare our journals well so they can meet national standards and contribute to the broader development of knowledge,” she said.
Also present at the event were Vice Dean I, Dr. Chusni Hadiati, S.S., M.Hum., Editor In Chief of Pamasa, Usep Muttaqin, S.Hum., M.A., and Editor In Chief of Vokasia, Lely Tri Wijayanti, S.S., M.A.
The workshop was divided into three main sessions. The first session featured a presentation by Yoris Adita Maretta, M.Pd., who provided in-depth insights into strategic steps to achieve national accreditation. All journal managers within FIB Unsoed were present and actively participated in this session.
In the second session, the focus shifted to an in-depth review of Vokasia Journal. In-depth discussions were conducted to identify strengths and areas that need improvement so that Vokasia Journal can meet the accreditation criteria set by the government.
The third session continued with an in-depth review of Pamasa: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat. This discussion is expected to provide practical solutions and concrete steps to improve the quality of the journal so it is ready to face the accreditation process.
Editor In Chief of Pamasa, Usep Muttaqin, S.Hum., M.A., expressed his hope that this workshop could be a significant initial step to improve the quality of journals at FIB Unsoed. “We hope that through this activity, journals within FIB will be more prepared and able to achieve national accreditation,” he said.
Meanwhile, Lely Tri Wijayanti, S.S., M.A., Editor In Chief of Vokasia, also expressed her optimism. “With guidance from a competent speaker, we are confident that we can bring Vokasia towards the accreditation we hope for,” she said.
This workshop not only provided new knowledge and strategies for journal managers, but also strengthened relationships among journal managers within FIB Unsoed, creating stronger collaboration for the future.
With the successful holding of this workshop, it is hoped that journals within Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Unsoed can soon submit applications for national accreditation and contribute more significantly to the dissemination of knowledge in Indonesia.
