Surakarta, May 18, 2024 – Veronika, a D3 Mandarin Chinese Language student, participated in a national tourism activity as a Liaison Officer.
The 44th Anniversary of Dewan Kerajinan Nasional (National Crafts Council) and the 52nd Unity Day of the PKK Movement were held in Surakarta on May 14-18, 2024. The event was attended by representatives from 38 provinces in Indonesia.
During the Dekranas Anniversary activities, a Welcome Dinner was held at Pracima Tuin. Subsequently, there was a Thanksgiving ceremony and opening of the 44th Dekranas Anniversary event at Hotel Alila Solo. Additionally, an expo exhibition was held from May 14-18 at Pamedang Mangkunegaran. On May 15, a Decorated Car, Crafts, and Culture Parade took place, involving all provinces in Indonesia. On May 18, the closing ceremony of the 44th Dekranas Anniversary event was held at Pamedang Mangkunegaran.
The 52nd Unity Day of the PKK Movement was conducted simultaneously with the 44th Dekranas Anniversary, also located in Surakarta. The event was enlivened by PKK members from throughout Indonesia. Various activities were held including a choir competition, local food cooking competition, creative gymnastics competition, nusantara cultural parade competition, jingle creation competition, and PKK cadre knowledge competition.
Vero expressed that she was very happy and proud to be involved in such a national tourism event. Previously, Veronika completed an internship at the Surakarta City Culture and Tourism Office.
