Purwokerto, December 21, 2023 – Good news and pride have come to Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB) Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed). An outstanding delegation from FIB Unsoed succeeded in achieving a brilliant victory in the National English Debate Competition held at Universitas Nasional, Jakarta, on December 19-20.
In this competition, the FIB Unsoed team demonstrated their excellence on the debate stage with strong arguments and remarkable English language fluency. An undeniable victory was achieved by the outstanding duo from the Sastra Inggris programme Sekar Hayuning Mutyas and Zhafa Yuda Rehema, who successfully won the title of Champion. This achievement further solidified FIB Unsoed as one of the leading faculties in national-level debate competitions.
Success was achieved not only as a team, but also individually. Sekar Hayuning Mutyas, one of the members of the FIB Unsoed team, was named Best Speaker, demonstrating the excellence of her speaking ability and brilliant arguments.
This competition was not only about victory itself, but also about spirit, dedication, and support. In an official statement, Ririn Kurnia Trisnawati, as the coach of the FIB Unsoed debate team, expressed her gratitude to all parties who provided support and prayers during the competition. “The support and prayers we received brought about proud results!
