Another remarkable achievement has been attained by students from the Sastra Inggris Programme at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Yudantia Sekar Jati and Vinesa Davina Azzahra. Both successfully won Gold Medals in the Folksong and Equal Voice categories at the International Bandung Choral Festival 2023 held on November 7-11, 2023 in Bandung.
This prestigious competition was attended by choirs from various countries, serving as a platform to showcase vocal art and cultural abilities. In the Folksong category, Yudantia and Vinesa impressed the judges with their interpretation of regional songs full of emotion and beautiful harmony. In the Equal Voice category, they demonstrated perfect vocal technique, captivating the judges with their performance.
“We are very grateful for this opportunity to bring the name of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman and Indonesia to the international stage,” said Yudantia. Vinesa added, “This victory is the result of hard work by our team, our coach, and support from everyone who has always given us encouragement.”
