[fib.unsoed, 21/10/23] On October 21st, the student association of the Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris study programme successfully held the annual English language competition known as Edition. This year, Edition was held for the sixth time. With the theme “Unity in Diversity, Ingenuity in Creativity,” this national-level competition was participated in by 93 contestants consisting of students from various senior high schools as well as university students.
At The 6th Edition, there were six competition categories, namely newscasting, speech, storytelling, and poetry reading contest for the senior high school level as well as essay and short movie competition for the university level.
The event began with an opening ceremony in the auditorium of the Bambang Lelono building at 08.00. Then the participants moved to different rooms according to the competition categories they were participating in. The participants demonstrated their talent and maximum effort in each competition, making it difficult for the judges to determine the best among these exceptional contestants.
This competition is expected to facilitate the interests and talents of students and university students in training and practicing their English language skills. Through this competition, participants are also expected to be able to demonstrate their spirit of creativity and sportsmanship.
