The Seni dan Pertunjukan Laboratory, Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, UNSOED, collaborated with Ninja Hiphop to hold the Indonesia-Japan Collaboration Performance event on Sunday, September 24, 2023. This event aimed to introduce the cultures of both parties to each other and to serve as a soft power diplomacy platform between Indonesia and Japan.
The activity held at Aula Bambang Lelono and Panggung Seni FIB Unsoed began at 09:00. The speakers for this event were Dr. Lynda Susana from FIB Unsoed as a Lengger researcher, and Akiko Sakaguchi and Rina Kito from Japan. The event was moderated by Dr. Ita Fitriana from FIB Unsoed. The participants who attended came from students, lecturers, Unsoed academic community members, and the general public.
In this event, the speakers delivered interesting presentations regarding the cultures of their respective countries and the artworks they have produced. Rina Kito, as one of the speakers, stated that “I love Indonesia,” which demonstrated her interest in Indonesian culture. In addition to material presentations, the event also featured art performances consisting of Hip Hop Dance by the Japanese team, lengger dance by Dr. Lynda Susana, and performances of Yosakoi and Soran Bushi dance by students from the Sastra Jepang undergraduate program.
The event was supported by all parties involved, both from FIB Unsoed and the Japanese Hip Hop Dance team. It is hoped that the benefits of this event can be felt by both parties to strengthen the preservation of Indonesian-Japanese culture in general and also to enhance cooperation between FIB Unsoed and Japan in particular.
