Purwokerto – The Sastra Inggris Study Programme at Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB) Universitas Jenderal Soedirman held an activity presenting the Course Outline for Semester (RPS) for the Odd Semester of the 2022/2023 Academic Year on August 7, 2022. Held in the FIB Unsoed Building Meeting Room, this event was attended by all Sastra Inggris lecturers with the aim of reviewing the readiness and quality of learning at the beginning of the semester.
This activity, guided by the Quality Control Cluster (GKM), aims to ensure that the structure and content of the course outline conform to applicable standards, so that the learning process runs effectively and supports the achievement of learning outcomes (CPL). The Chair of GKM, Dyah Raina Purwaningsih, S.S., M.Hum., stated that this activity also serves as a means to improve and enhance overall learning quality.
“Through the presentation of course outlines, we not only evaluate the completeness of learning documents, but also ensure that the material presented is relevant to developments in knowledge and technology. This is our effort to continue innovating and improving academic quality,” said Dyah Raina.
Results and Recommendations
From the evaluation results, the majority of course outlines were assessed as having met good standards, although there were several inputs from the audience and GKM team. Several recommendations include:
- More careful preparation of learning outcomes (CPL).
- Enhanced integration of results from lecturer research and community service in course outlines.
- Adjustment of course outline format with the latest standards.
- Continuous monitoring by the study programme coordinator.
The activity concluded with presentations of course outlines by lecturers teaching the courses and a discussion session to identify necessary improvements.

The Chair of Sastra Inggris Study Programme, Dyah Raina, S.S., M.Hum., reaffirmed her commitment to continue overseeing the implementation of quality course outlines. “We hope that activities like this can become a routine that supports the achievement of quality learning in the Sastra Inggris Study Programme,” she said.
