On Friday, 23 February 2024, the Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang (PBJ) Study Programme of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB) Unsoed received a visit from an academic cooperation partner of the study programme. The PBJ Study Programme, represented by the chair of the study programme’s cooperation team, Dian Bayu Firmansyah, S.Pd., M.Pd, welcomed Mr. Yoshiro Nabeshima, director of Convi Asia, Co, Ltd, and Rizal Ansory Wiguna, director of LPK Orion Harmoni Mandala (OHM), for the purpose of formulating cooperation activities to be carried out with the PBJ Study Programme. Both partners are DUDI (industry and business world) partners engaged in consultancy as well as acting as a sending organization (SO), and already have an established reputation for cooperation with many universities in Indonesia to support MBKM activities in the form of internships in Japan and in Indonesia.
At this meeting, several planned cooperation activities were discussed, including:
- Internship activities at companies in Japan to deepen students’ Japanese language skills;
- Domestic internship activities at LPK OHM to build students’ competence as teaching staff, alongside the Pengenalan Lingkungan Persekolahan (PLP) programme;
- Practitioner teaching activities to instill edupreneurship values that constitute the study programme’s distinctive strength;
- Placement and recruitment of alumni to work in Japan as Specified Skilled Workers (SSW) and as technical workers in the fields of technology, humanities, or international relationship.
The signing of cooperation documents such as the Perjanjian Kerja Sama (PKS) and the Implementation Agreement (IA) between the PBJ Study Programme and these partners will be carried out separately in the near future. It is hoped that this cooperation partnership can support students’ competencies as well as the Capaian Pembelajaran Lulusan (CPL) of the PBJ Study Programme.
