Purwokerto, October 1, 2023. As a follow-up to interviews conducted on September 8, 2023, a total of 6 undergraduate students from Sastra Jepang have been selected for an internship in Kumamoto, Japan. The selected students consist of 3rd and 5th semester students. As a demonstration of serious commitment to this cooperation, the partner of Sastra Jepang study programme, J Human Net, made a direct visit to Sastra Jepang. The visit was intended not only to provide support to students who will be leaving for internships, but also to introduce the internship programs being offered.
The students scheduled to arrive in Japan on April 1, 2024, will replace their senior classmates who have already gone to Kumamoto for internships. The first batch of Sastra Jepang students currently doing internships is scheduled to complete their internships and return to Indonesia on April 14, 2024. During their time in Japan, students will be placed to work in the hospitality and ryoukan sectors, namely Nagomitsuki, Kirara, and Hanagokoro. Students will conduct internships for 1 year, with a conversion of 20 credit hours, so students will not experience graduation delays.
Sastra Jepang study programme remains committed to building cooperation with Japanese partners. By developing cooperation in both internships and student exchange programs, it is hoped that this can provide students with learning experiences not only within the study programme environment, but also to directly gain experience in Japan.
