[Purwokerto-FIB] December 15, 2022, students from the D3 Mandarin Language Study Programme participated in the Travel Management Tourism class by conducting a City Tour at several tourist sites in the Banyumas region. Accompanied by the course instructor, students practiced city tour guiding at the locations of Jenderal Soedirman Airport, Museum Wayang Banyumas, and Sentra Kerajinan Batik Mruyung. The students enthusiastically conducted their practice by providing tour guidance inside the bus.
In addition to providing guidance during travel between tourist locations, students also visited Jenderal Besar Soedirman Airport located in Purbalingga. The visit activities included airport education, airport security education, and airport fire protection education.
This series of activities concluded with activities conducted in the Old Town Banyumas area by visiting the Sentra Kerajinan Batik Mruyung. Students participated in the activity by observing the batik production process and listening to presentations from resource speakers about the history and production of Banyumas batik.
Through this activity, it is hoped that students can apply tourism guidance in Mandarin Chinese and gain a deeper understanding of tourist attractions and culture in the Banyumas region and its surroundings.
