Purwokerto, 23 November 2024 – Another proud achievement has been recorded by a student of the D3 Bahasa Mandarin Study Programme at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Gita, a student from the 2023 cohort who is a member of HUDEC (Humanities Debate Community) FIB UNSOED, succeeded in becoming a N1 Adjudicator Finalist at the National-level Debate Competition “Festival Jurnalistik Husbandry 5.0”. The event was organized by LPM Husbandry, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman in January 2024.
This debate competition was part of a series of events under the Festival Jurnalistik Husbandry 5.0, which aims to sharpen critical thinking, argumentation, and discussion skills among students from various universities across Indonesia. The N1 Adjudicator position itself is an important role in debate competitions, where an adjudicator is tasked with objectively assessing the course of the debate and providing feedback to participants.
Gita successfully demonstrated her competence and dedication as an adjudicator. Drawing on her experience and insight, she managed to pass through a series of rigorous selection stages and reach the finalist position. In a brief interview, Gita expressed her gratitude for this achievement. “I am very grateful for this opportunity. Being part of a national debate competition is an extraordinary experience, and I hope to keep learning and growing in this field,” she said.
The Head of the D3 Bahasa Mandarin Study Programme, Destyanisa Taziyah, also expressed appreciation for Gita’s achievement. “Gita’s success is proof that our students excel not only in Mandarin language studies, but are also capable of achieving success in other fields such as debate and communication. We are very proud of her accomplishment,” she stated.
With this achievement, Gita has not only brought honor to the D3 Bahasa Mandarin Study Programme, but also to Fakultas Ilmu Budaya and Universitas Jenderal Soedirman at the national level. It is hoped that this achievement will motivate other students to continue striving for excellence in various fields.
