Purwokerto – In response to the challenges of the business world in education, the Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris study programme at Unsoed held an expert lecture on business in education, particularly English language education. The expert lecture themed “Paving the Way to English Education Business Industries” featured Rohani, S.Pd., M.A., founder of Kampung Inggris Semarang KING. The activity was moderated by Muhammad Ahsanu, S.Pd., M.Sc., M.Hum., Ph.D., initiator of Kampung Bahasa Asing Banyumas FLASH. The event was held on June 2, 2025, and was attended by hundreds of students, primarily from the Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris study programme at FIB Unsoed. With great enthusiasm and passion, students entered the venue starting from 07:00 WIB. The activity was opened by Dr. Chusni Hadiati, S.S., M.Hum., Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs at FIB Unsoed. She welcomed the event with great enthusiasm and the hope that students would be inspired to gain much knowledge and experience from the outstanding speaker and could follow in her footsteps by beginning to aspire and develop ideas for starting a business in education, particularly English language education.
The event, which lasted approximately 4 hours, provided significant insight for students to continue honing their language skills while studying in the Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris study programme at FIB Unsoed by prioritizing experience before graduation so that students already possess the necessary experience. Additionally, she advised that students must be able to take advantage of every opportunity to start working while still in university because opportunities do not come twice. To start a language industry business requires not only language skills but also management, leadership, relationships, and more. Perseverance, determination, creativity, and innovation are essential because it takes years and consistency to build a language industry business. More importantly, it is the ability to provide the best service to prospective customers by using “three magic words: ada, bisa, boleh”. It is hoped that this event provides beneficial knowledge and inspires students to continue creating and building their future equipped with language skills that they will possess after graduating from the Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris study programme at Unsoed.
