[fib.unsoed, 5/7/23] The Student Association for Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (Himedition) at FIB Unsoed successfully organized a charity event titled Himedition Charity on Sunday, July 4, 2023. On this occasion, Himedition visited the Harapan Mulia Orphanage in Mersi, East Purwokerto.
Himedition Charity is one of Himedition’s work programs aimed at fostering empathy among Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris students at FIB Unsoed and providing assistance to the children at the orphanage.
The activity opened with remarks from Himedition representatives and the orphanage management, followed by a prayer reading. Then, Himedition invited the orphanage children to learn together. The material taught was English, adapted to their level of education. Subsequently, the activity continued with a games session to lighten the atmosphere and strengthen the bond between Himedition and the orphanage children. The event concluded with the presentation of financial aid collected through fundraising efforts to the community and a group photo with the children from Harapan Mulia Orphanage.
Through this activity, it is hoped that the students can develop greater empathy and learn to provide meaningful benefit to the surrounding community.
