Fakultas Ilmu Budaya held a socialization event for IISMA and IIVOSMA on March 21, 2022 as one of the efforts to facilitate students in gaining comprehensive knowledge about IISMA (Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards) and IIVOSMA (Indonesian International Vocational Student Mobility Awards). IISMA and IIVOSMA are forms of student mobility activities to support the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. IISMA is provided for undergraduate students and IIVOSMA is provided for vocational students.
This socialization event was held online via Zoom meeting. The event was attended by the Director of IRO Unsoed, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FIB, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs of FIB, and other invited guests. The event was opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ely Triasih Rahayu S.S., M.Hum. In her remarks, she conveyed that this event aims to equip students with knowledge, and especially as language learners, it would be better for students to learn language directly in the country where it originates. This activity is also free of charge, as all costs are covered by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, so students do not need to worry about other expenses. The Director of IRO, Dr.rer.nat. Erwin Riyanto Ardli, S.Si. M.Sc., also strongly encouraged FIB students to participate in IISMA and IIVOSMA activities to gain more knowledge from various top universities in the world, and also to learn about the culture in the destination country. Students can also develop their ability to solve problems in the academic world in their own way. IRO also finances English language tests for students who meet the qualifications.
