Purwokerto (23/08/2025)_ Located in the Gedung Aula Bambang Lelono Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, FIB, is currently organizing an academic atmosphere enhancement activity in the form of writing mentorship for National Seminar proceeding manuscripts for students of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Unsoed. This event was held as part of a series of activities for the Seminar Nasional Kolaborasi Dosen dan Mahasiswa #5, which will take place on October 25, 2025. Student presenters collaborating with lecturers at FIB underwent a mentoring process to produce good proceeding manuscripts in accordance with scientific principles.
The event, which was officially opened by the Dean of FIB, Prof. Ely Triasih Rahayu, S.S.,M.Hum, was attended by approximately 55 students representing each group of presenters. In the opening session, the Dean of FIB expressed her appreciation to the students who were willing to continue learning outside the classroom by attending this mentoring session. She mentioned that these student presenters are FIB students who are one step ahead because they have been enthusiastic about building an academic atmosphere earlier by actively participating in national seminar activities and this proceeding manuscript writing mentorship.

In this mentoring activity, Publication Laboratory presented speakers, namely AmbhitaDhyaningrum, S.S, M.Hum, who delivered material on the KOKADOMA Online Journal System, which serves as the platform for submitting national seminar proceeding manuscripts, and Ririn Kurnia Trisnawati,MA., who presented the material Preparing Good and Scientific Proceeding Manuscripts. In this mentoring activity, Publication Laboratory also presented mentors who assisted in the completion process of the proceedings by helping to check the completeness of the writing, compliance with academic writing guidelines, and the submission process. These mentors consisted of lecturers within FIB and students who already have publication experience in accredited national journals. They are Theresia Anggi Angelia Silalahi J1A023073 (Sastra Inggris), Miqda Al Auza’i Ashfahany Asyida’ J1A023012 (Sastra Inggris), Sekar Hayuning Mutyas J1A022042 (Sastra Inggris), Tiara Rachma Yunita J1A022025 (Sastra Inggris), and Marcellia Eki Christine J1A022036 (Sastra Inggris). A briefing session with the mentors had also been held previously online, featuring speaker Alifia Gian Difayana, S.S, who delivered material on good and humanistic writing mentorship processes to the participants.

Head of PL, Ririn Kurnia, hopes that activities like this will bring benefits and have a good impact on the process of increasing academic writing and publication awareness for students within our beloved FIB. In addition, lecturer-student writing collaboration is also expected to bring an impact on increasing citations of lecturer and student writings as well as enhancing the academic atmosphere in FIB.
