Purwokerto, July 15, 2025 – The Laboratorium Kajian Pengembangan Pembelajaran (LKPP/Bangjar) of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Jenderal Soedirman held a Workshop on Outcome Based Education (OBE) Curriculum Portfolio Development on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. The activity aimed to enhance faculty capacity in designing curricula and learning that are oriented towards student learning outcomes and relevance to the professional world.
The workshop was officially opened by the Dean of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Prof. Dr. Ely Triasih Rahayu, S.S., M.Hum., who stated in her remarks that this activity represents a strategic step in improving the quality of learning within FIB. “Initiatives such as this are crucial to ensure that the learning process not only meets academic standards, but is also relevant to students’ future needs,” said Prof. Ely.
Furthermore, Dr. Chusni Hadiati, S.S., M.Hum., as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at FIB UNSOED, also emphasized the importance of continuous learning innovation. “Learning must not stagnate. We must continue to innovate so that learning content and methods remain aligned with the dynamics of the professional world and societal needs,” she explained.
The workshop was attended by faculty members from various study programmes within Fakultas Ilmu Budaya. Participants received instruction on OBE principles, curriculum portfolio document development, and practical exercises in developing portfolios based on learning outcomes.
This activity is part of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Unsoed’s commitment to supporting higher education transformation through strengthening learning quality and adaptive, visionary curricula.
Through this activity, it is hoped that faculty members will be able to develop curriculum portfolios that not only meet national and international accreditation standards, but also demonstrate the uniqueness and strengths of each study programme. In addition to serving as an internal quality assurance tool, the OBE-based curriculum portfolio is also a strategic document for mapping the relationship between classroom learning and skills needed in the professional world as well as future global challenges.
