Purwokerto – Students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program (Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang/PBJ) at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman have once again made a proud achievement in the non-academic field. The PBJ Unsoed Mobile Legends team won 3rd place in the e-sports tournament at Cilastara 2026, organized by the Cilacap Student Association (Himpunan Mahasiswa Cilacap/HMC) Unsoed on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
This achievement shows that PBJ students excel not only in academics and languages, but can also demonstrate skill, strategy, and solid teamwork in inter-university student e-sports competitions.
The PBJ Unsoed Mobile Legends team consisted of five students from the 2025 cohort: Rafi Fatahillah (J1F025047), Difa Nusantara (J1F025053), Farrel Evan Hermawan (J1F025079), Rohmat Ikmalul Fikri (J1F025078), and Aditya Budi Santoso (J1F025091).
Throughout the tournament, the PBJ Unsoed team performed consistently from the early rounds until securing third place. Cohesive communication, well-prepared game strategies, and a never-give-up spirit were the keys to their success against opponents from various study programs.
Cilastara is a student event that serves as a platform for developing interests and talents, including e-sports, which are increasingly popular among young people. The competition also provides a positive space for students to develop teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship.
The advisor of the PBJ Unsoed Student Association, Firda Zahratul Fuadah, S.Pd., M.Pd., expressed her appreciation for the PBJ Mobile Legends team’s achievement. According to her, it shows that PBJ students have great potential not only in academics but also in many other fields.
“This achievement proves that PBJ students can excel not only in academic fields but also in non-academic ones. We truly appreciate the team’s spirit and hard work, which have brought honor to the study program. We hope this victory will motivate other students to keep developing their potential and achieve even more in various fields,” said Firda.
The success of the PBJ Unsoed Mobile Legends team is expected to be the beginning of many more student achievements, while also strengthening the spirit of collaboration and creativity within the Japanese Language Education Study Program at Unsoed.
