The Selection of Outstanding Students (Mapres) 2025 was successfully held on Thursday, March 6, 2025. The opening ceremony was held at the Gedung Aula FIB and was opened by the Dean of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Dr. Ely Triasih Rahayu, S.S., M.Hum. The event was attended by six outstanding students who represented each study programme within Fakultas Ilmu Budaya. Participants consisted of four participants from the bachelor’s programme and two participants from the diploma programme. This event aimed to provide recognition to students who possessed excellent academic and non-academic achievements and were able to demonstrate critical and innovative thinking.
In this prestigious event, the representative from Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, Norika Fajari Rahayu, successfully won 1st Place in the Bachelor’s Programme category with her advisor Laxmi Mustika Cakrawati M.Pd. For the Diploma Programme category, 1st Place was won by a representative student from Bahasa Inggris, Dimas Dwi Aji, with advisor Indah Puspitasari, S.S., M.A. The success of these two students serves as evidence of the academic and non-academic quality and competence they possess and will represent the faculty to advance to the university level.
The Selection of Outstanding Students 2025 encompassed three assessment aspects: evaluation of scientific papers or innovative products for diploma programmes, English proficiency, and outstanding achievement. Each participant was given the opportunity to present their creative ideas before a jury panel consisting of academics using Indonesian and English. The jury panel composition consisted of Uki Hares, S.Pd., M.Pd. for scientific paper evaluation, Eni Nur Aeni S.S., M.A. for English language evaluation, and Heri Widodo, S.S., M.A. for outstanding achievement evaluation. Academic achievement, communication skills, and contribution to community development were the objectives of this event. The chair of the Mapres 2025 committee, Kristianto Setiawan, S.S., M.A., expressed high appreciation to all participants and hoped that this event could continue to serve as a forum for students to develop their potential. “We are very proud of the participants’ achievements. They have demonstrated extraordinary dedication and competence, which will certainly be valuable assets for their future,” he said.
With the successful implementation of Mapres 2025, it is hoped that increasingly more students will be motivated to achieve excellence and make genuine contributions to society. Congratulations to the winners and all participants who have demonstrated their best abilities in this event!
