The Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang (PBJ) study programme continues to innovate in order to produce graduates who are excellent and competitive. This time, to facilitate and ensure the achievement of minimum Japanese language competency standards for students, the PBJ study programme has initiated a collaboration for the implementation of the Japanese Language Capability Test (JLCT) at Unsoed. The PBJ study programme will collaborate with the UPT Bahasa and PT. JLCT to administer the JLCT examination, which has already been recognized by Japanese immigration authorities as one of ten Japanese language proficiency tests recognized by the Japanese government.
Through this collaboration, Purwokerto will become the fourth city in Indonesia to administer the Japanese Language Capability Test (JLCT), following Surabaya, Semarang, and Jakarta. The first JLCT examination is planned to be held on November 3, 2024.
The JLCT examination is not limited to Unsoed students alone, but will also be made available to trainees at Vocational Training Centres (Lembaga Pelatihan Kerja/LPK) located in the Barlingmascakeb area and its surroundings.
It is hoped that the presence of JLCT in Purwokerto can provide a solution for Japanese language learners who have faced difficulties in measuring their Japanese language competency.
