Thursday, June 27, 2024, the Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang (PBJ) study programme of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, once again initiated cooperation to support the creation of graduates with an edupreneur (edupreneurship) spirit, which is a distinctive advantage of the PBJ study programme compared to similar programmes at other universities. The prospective partner to collaborate with is the Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (Balitbang SDM) of the Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informasi (Kominfo). This cooperation initiative is an implementation of the MoU already established between Unsoed and Kominfo, regarding Synergy and Development of Programme Implementation in the Fields of Education, Communication and Informatics.
Participating in this cooperation initiative were Dr. Haryono, S.S., M.Pd. as coordinator of the PBJ study programme, Dian Bayu Firmansyah, S.Pd., M.Pd. as chair of the study programme cooperation team, and Exwan Andriyan Verrysaputro, S.Pd., M.Pd., representative of the Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Unsoed cooperation team. Meanwhile, from Balitbang SDM Kominfo, the delegation was represented by Ibu Vinny Damayanti and the BPSDM Kominfo team.
During this cooperation initiative, which was held online through a zoom meeting, both parties—the PBJ study programme and Balitbang SDM Kominfo—committed to mutually supporting the acceleration of The National Digital Talent Program, which is realized through various forms of training, certification, and scholarships provided by Kominfo. The PBJ study programme, which also has a vision of excellence in innovative and collaborative Japanese language education and edupreneurship, greatly needs support from Kominfo in relation to creating graduates with good digital literacy understanding, as well as talents in the field of digital Japanese language teaching, who are able to compete in the global arena.
This common thread served as the basis for in-depth discussion during today’s cooperation initiative, and subsequently both parties agreed to formulate a mutually beneficial cooperation agreement. This cooperation initiative with Kominfo is also planned not only for the PBJ study programme alone, but can also be utilized by other study programmes within Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, with forms of cooperation adapted to the characteristics and needs of each respective study programme.
Hopefully, this cooperation can make the Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang study programme of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Unsoed increasingly well-known and can become a center for developing digital talent and Japanese language edupreneurship in Indonesia.
