Purwokerto, November 15, 2024 – A proud achievement has once again been earned by students of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed). Rista Samara Aziza, a student in the S1 Sastra Inggris programme at Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB), successfully won a Bronze Medal at the 2nd International Youth Summit held virtually in November 2024.
This international-level competition was attended by hundreds of participants from various countries. Rista delivered her best performance through an innovative presentation addressing sustainability issues in local and global culture. This success was made possible through intensive guidance from her supervising lecturer, Ririn Kurnia Trisnawati, S.S., M.Hum., who accompanied Rista throughout the preparation and competition process.
“This achievement is the result of Rista’s hard work and dedication, which not only brings honor to herself but also brings prestige to Universitas Jenderal Soedirman on the international stage,” said Prof. Dr. Ely Triasih Rahayu, S.S., M.Hum., Dean of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya at Unsoed.
Prof. Ely also expressed hope that this achievement can motivate other students at FIB Unsoed to continue contributing at both national and international levels. “We are very proud and supportive of students who have strong determination to achieve,” she added.
Rista expressed her gratitude and happiness over this achievement. “I am very grateful to my supervisor, family, and friends who have provided support. I hope this is the first step toward continuing to contribute in the academic and social spheres,” she said.
