Purwokerto, February 3, 2025 – The Sastra Inggris study programme has resumed its routine early semester activity consisting of Presentation and Review of the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) on Monday, February 3, 2025. The activity took place in the Central Library Meeting Room at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman and forms part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education). In this forum, lecturers presented the RPS for courses to be conducted in the Even Semester 2024-2025.
The RPS presentation encompassed four main categories: Courses in the Study Programme Concentration Field, Skill Courses, Concentration Support Courses, and Industry-related Courses. Each presentation session was followed by question and answer sessions and discussions to address curriculum implementation strategies that have been designed. These discussions aimed to refine learning strategies and ensure the achievement of academic objectives and the enhancement of lecturer professionalism in every Teaching and Learning Activity (KBM).
The event began with a report from the Head of the Quality Control Unit (GKM) of Sastra Inggris, who presented the results of RPS collection by lecturers. According to the report, the RPS collection rate has reached 85%, indicating strong commitment from teaching staff in designing and preparing quality learning processes. The report also highlighted the importance of aligning the curriculum with developments in knowledge and the needs of the industry, to ensure graduates possess competencies in line with labor market demands.
As a study programme that has achieved Outstanding accreditation status, the Sastra Inggris study programme of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB) Universitas Jenderal Soedirman continues to strive to implement best practices in maintaining learning quality. Through this activity, the curriculum is expected to become increasingly relevant to academic and industry needs, and capable of supporting optimal achievement of student competencies.
This activity affirms the commitment of the Sastra Inggris study programme in improving the quality of education and ensuring that the learning process conducted always prioritizes high academic standards and is aligned with developments in knowledge and workplace needs.
