The selection period for the National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) in 2025 has already begun. Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) has also started implementing the socialization of the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) and the National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT) 2025. In 2025, the Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang study programme is opening a quota for 100 new students, with the distinctive characteristic of the programme being to create graduates who excel in the field of edupreneurship.
As officially released on Unsoed’s official website, the following is an excerpt of the socialization activities for the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) and the National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT) 2025.
Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) held a socialization session on the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) and the National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT) 2025 on Tuesday (21/01/2025). The socialization, held at Gedung Roedhiro of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Unsoed, was attended by Heads of Schools and Teachers from senior high schools, vocational schools, and Islamic schools representing schools in Banyumas District. Additionally, socialization sessions also took place in Purbalingga, Banjarnegara, and Cilacap Districts.
As a speaker, the Academic Coordinator of Unsoed, Eko Sumanto S.Pt.,M.Si, presented information about SNBP 2025 registration. He explained that this programme provides opportunities for high-achieving students in their final year of SMA/SMK/MA education to continue their studies at preferred State Universities (PTN). Make sure to understand the requirements and registration procedures correctly so that the chances of acceptance increase.
“Schools that want to register students through the SNBP pathway must meet several criteria, namely the school must have a National School Principal Number (NPSN) that is registered. Additionally, the school accreditation requirements affect the number of students that can be recommended: if accredited A: can recommend up to 40% of top students, Accreditation B: can recommend up to 25% of top students. While Accreditation C: can recommend up to 5% of top students,” explained Eko.
Furthermore, schools using the e-Rapor PDSS system will receive an additional quota of up to 5%, and only students who meet the eligible criteria can be included in the PDSS.
It was further explained that regarding the requirements for students who wish to participate in SNBP, they must meet the following criteria: they must be final-year students at SMA/SMK/MA in 2025, have a NISN registered in the PDSS system, their report card scores must be in accordance with the requirements that have been uploaded to PDSS, have a good record of academic achievement, and meet the special requirements set by the chosen PTN.
In the SNBP pathway, students can choose up to two study programmes at PTN. If choosing two study programmes, one of them must come from a PTN located in the same province as the student’s school.
On the same occasion, Dian Bestari Santi R S.IP., M.I.Kom presented information about the National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT) 2025. It was explained that SNBT participants are only allowed to take the UTBK 2025 once. The results of UTBK 2025 are only valid for participation in SNBT and admission to PTN in 2025.
“Students who have been declared to have passed the SNBP 2025 pathway selection, SNBP 2024, and SNBP 2023 cannot take the UTBK-SNBT 2025. Additionally, students who have been declared to have passed the SNBP 2025 pathway selection cannot participate in the Independent Pathway selection at any PTN,” explained Dian.
Regarding study programme choices, Dian explained that each participant is allowed to choose a maximum of 4 (four) study programmes consisting of 2 (two) Academic Programme (Bachelor) choices and 2 (two) Vocational Programme (Three-Year Diploma and Four-Year Diploma/Applied Bachelor) choices. The order in selecting study programmes indicates the priority of preference.
Unsoed holds Outstanding accreditation, with 12 faculties and 1 postgraduate programme that manage 10 Diploma Programmes, 46 Bachelor Programmes, 5 Professional Programmes, 25 Master Programmes, 8 Doctoral Programmes, and 3 Specialist Programmes.
In the SNBP pathway, Unsoed accepts prospective students with a 30% quota, SNBT with 40%, and Independent pathway with 30% quota. Unsoed facilitates and provides scholarships for students with outstanding academic achievement and/or those requiring financial support, such as Bidikmisi/KIPK, PPA (Academic Achievement Improvement), Supersemar Foundation, Industry and Banking Partners, and more than 15 scholarship sources.
