Dian Bayu Firmansyah, M.Pd., a lecturer in the S1 Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang study programme at FIB Unsoed, has successfully obtained international collaborative research funding from the Toyota Foundation under the Specified Issue scheme (https://toyotafound.my.salesforce-sites.com/psearch/JoseiDetail?name=D23-MG-0021). This international research grant marks the third consecutive funding that Dian Bayu Firmansyah, M.Pd., has received, following previous research funding from the Sumitomo Foundation in 2022 and 2023, as principal investigator and research member.
For this international research initiative, Dian Bayu Firmansyah, M.Pd., will collaborate with the Osaka Restaurant Association (ORA) and researchers from several universities in Japan and Indonesia. The research theme is “Study on Mismatch Structure between Foreign Job Seekers and Job Providers in the Food Service Industry and Development of Resolves“, to further examine the conditions and challenges in the job matching process between prospective workers and employers in the restaurant sector in Japan. This international collaborative research is multi-years in duration, spanning three years from 2024 to 2026, with total funding of JPY 9,500,000 or IDR 997,500,000.
It is hoped that this research will provide substantial benefits to both nations and enhance the international reputation of FIB Unsoed through high-impact faculty research endeavors.
