Purwokerto, 28 May 2024 – Two study programmes (prodi) at Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB) Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) have successfully achieved excellent accreditation from the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT). This achievement was obtained by the S1 Sastra Indonesia and S1 Sastra Jepang programmes.
The Accreditation Decision Letter (SK) for the S1 Sastra Indonesia programme is number 4258/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/V/2024, while the accreditation SK for the S1 Sastra Jepang programme is number 4240/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/V/2024.
Dean of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Unsoed, Dr. Ely Triasih Rahayu, S.S., M.Hum., expressed pride in this achievement. “This excellent accreditation achievement is evidence of our commitment to providing high-quality education that is relevant to contemporary developments,” she said.
Both programmes successfully obtained excellent accreditation after submitting the Accreditation Supplement Instrument to convert their previous A-level accreditation rating to Excellent Ranking in accordance with the APT 3.0 Instrument. This step demonstrates a significant improvement in standards and quality of education at FIB Unsoed.
Coordinator of the S1 Sastra Indonesia programme, Dr. Siti Junawaroh, S.S., M.Hum., stated that this achievement is inseparable from the hard work and dedication of all teaching staff, students, and support from the university. “We are committed to continuously improving the quality of education and research in the field of Indonesian literature,” she said.
Similar sentiments were expressed by Coordinator of the S1 Sastra Jepang programme, Idah Hamidah, S.S., M.Hum. “With this excellent accreditation, we hope to produce graduates who are not only competent in their field, but also able to compete at national and international levels,” she said.
With this achievement, FIB Unsoed further strengthens its position as one of the faculties committed to improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia. This excellent accreditation is expected to serve as motivation for other study programmes at Unsoed to continue improving educational standards and quality.
This achievement is also expected to increase public confidence in the quality of education provided by Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, as well as attract the interest of prospective students who wish to study at FIB Unsoed.
