Welcoming the new year 2022, the Department of Languages and East Asian Studies held its first meeting on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the Auditorium of Building D, FIB Unsoed. This departmental meeting aimed to strengthen the bonds of kinship among faculty members of the East Asian Studies Department so that they can work synergistically to advance their respective study programmes, as well as the department, faculty, and Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. The event was opened directly by the Head of the Department of Languages and East Asian Studies, Dr. Yusida Lusiana, S.S., M.Pd., Msi., and was attended by all faculty members of Sastra Jepang and Mandarin Language. Additionally, this meeting was also attended by the Dean of FIB and the Vice Deans of FIB, along with several faculty members and staff of FIB.
At this first meeting, there was also a celebration of the 55th anniversary as well as a farewell for one of the senior faculty members of the East Asian Studies Department, Bapak Daryanto, S.Pd., M.Si. At the beginning of 2022, he entered retirement after serving at Unsoed for 43 years (1979-2022). The many contributions and stories he left during his service as a faculty member, may they become ongoing charitable deeds in the sight of Allah swt. Amin. (MK)
