Purwokerto, 29 October 2025 – Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB) Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) held its 11th Anniversary celebration on Tuesday, 29 October 2025. The series of events began with an Open Senate Session and was followed by Scientific Orations from FIB lecturers. The Open Senate Session was led by Imam Suhardi, S.S.,M,Hum and attended by the university leadership, lecturers, educational staff, and students. On this occasion, a presentation on FIB’s performance achievements over the past year was delivered, highlighting various advancements in the fields of academics, research, and community service. As a symbol of gratitude for these achievements, a pemotongan tumpeng (cutting of the ceremonial cone-shaped yellow rice) was performed by Prof. Dr. Triasih Rahayu, S.S., M.Hum., as the Dean of FIB, which was then presented to the Rektor Universitas Jenderal Soedirman and the university leadership.
The event continued with a Scientific Oration session featuring three doctors from the FIB academic community. Dr. Tribuana Sari, S.S., M.Si. delivered an oration titled “Subjek Anak Papua: Entitas, Gender, dan Mimpi Kesatuan Indonesia.” Dr. Farida Nuryantiningsih, S.S., M.Hum. delivered an oration titled “Adjektiva Mengenai Sifat Manusia dalam Bahasa Jawa.” Dr. Aidatul Chusna, S.S., M.A. delivered an oration titled “Modernitas yang Menjerat: Kelas Menengah Urban dan Hasrat Kapitalisme.”
Through this 11th Anniversary celebration, FIB Unsoed reaffirms its commitment to continue contributing to the development of science, culture, and humanity, in line with the university’s spirit to become a center of excellence in building.
